Emotional and Behavioural problems can affect many areas of your child’s life and hinder their ability to thrive. All children experience some level of worry, sadness, anger and relational conflict. If these issues are starting to interfere with daily living and functioning, therapy can help your child develop the skills and tools needed to cope with life’s challenges.
At Guthrie and Associates we have a large, child-focused office filled with various toys, art, crafts and resources to help your child feel comfortable and at ease. Parents are encouraged to attend the first session alone to discuss and identify issues and work with the therapist to develop treatment goals for your child. Practical parenting strategies are also often a part of this process so you feel confident in supporting your child with whatever issue they may be facing.
Please note that children under the age of 12 will require consent from both parents (unless a sole custody order is in place).
